Frying

Another scorcher: too hot to ride. Out in our fly rugs after breakfast. We wanted to come in really early with Cricket but Dad held on until 2 'o clock. By then it was 30 Degrees C!

Again Dibby and I were hosed down before being put into the cool of our stables. After an early tea we stood quietly and rested. If the heatwave continues and it is as hot as today, Dad will ask again if we can be allowed to try staying in during the day and to go out in the field overnight for a few nights. Traditionally however, although they have firm opinions, cobs don't have much say in such matters.
